NASB | Romans 2:15 in that they show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness and their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them, |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 2:15 They show that the essential requirements of the Law are written in their hearts; and their conscience [their sense of right and wrong, their moral choices] bearing witness and their thoughts alternately accusing or perhaps defending them |
Bible Question: I am trying to recall a verse that refers to God giving everyone a conscience. I have looked in my concordances and other tools, but cannot find what I'm looking for. Can someone help me locate this verse, please? |
Bible Answer: 14The people who are not Jews do not have the Law. When they do what the Law tells them to do, even if they do not have the Law, it shows they know what they should do. 15They show that what the Law wants them to do is written in their hearts. Their own hearts tell them if they are guilty. |
