Subject: Why "servant"? |
Bible Note: Why do many versions (including the NASB) translate "diakonas" as "servant" in Rom 16:1? I understand that the Greek word actually does mean "servant," but in other cases in the NT when it refers to someone working in the church it is transliterated as "deacon." Why the exception here? |
