Bible Question:
Referring to Rom 14/13 What's the difference between stating an opinion about a person and judging one? Tnx |
Bible Answer: In my opinion..not much. Hebrews 14:4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up:for God is able to make him stand. Then of course there is the lesson of the splinter and the beam..When we look at the weakness or immaturity of our brothers and sisters in criticism, we are in escence criticizing God, because He is our teacher, our Lord, our guide. We are all at different places in our walk and we all have opportunity to criticize or be ciritcized. It is beter to show mercy and let God correct. Our 'opinions' of others are very weak because we do not know their heart, only God does. |
