Bible Question: Does God appoint our leaders ? |
Bible Answer: Rom:13:1: Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. It says here that God ordained the power, it doesn’t say God ordained the person who has the governmental power. A throne of a kingdom, or a presidential office is ordained, but who occupies it is not mentioned as ordained. For example, there are those who even serve the president with honor and respect, but that doesn’t mean they voted for who holds the office. Paul is saying that one should respect the powers in the world they are ordained by God. |
