AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you]. |
Bible Question: How can a homosexual guy who wants to go straight get the homosexual thoughts out of his head? |
Bible Answer: Romans 12:2 says do not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our mind. It's a day by day process, the more we read God's Word the more we understand what His good, acceptable and perfect will for our lives should be. God understands your needs and He is always waiting to hear from you, so make your requests be known to Him. The day will come, my friend, that you will have new thoughts, and you will think on them, as it is written in Philippians 4:8 "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, THINK on these things. (KJV) Thank you for being open and honest about your situation and no matter if your sin was trying to be too good or if you were a hopeless addict, God can and will turn your situation around, He has that much grace and love, and He loves you may friend. God bless inmyheart |
