Subject: The Devolution of Man |
Bible Note: I'm moved to remember Pr 14:12 There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death. Pr 16:25 There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death. Seems particularly powerful that God repeats Himself with this advice. Do we learn? 1 Cor 1:18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 1 Cor 1:20 Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 1 Cor 1:21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. 1 Cor 3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, "He catches the wise in their own craftiness" Humanism, what an awful stage of thinking for our planet to develop in face of all the history we have at our fingertips. Knowing all of what we know about the rise and fall of all the great empires/nations of the past and we still insist on following their footsteps to our own destruction. Can we turn it around and reverse this path? I do sincerely hope so. Blessings to you. Country Girl |
