AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 1:20 For ever since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through His workmanship [all His creation, the wonderful things that He has made], so that they [who fail to believe and trust in Him] are without excuse and without defense. Bible Question: do unbelievers go to Heaven? what about people who never had the chance to hear the "good news", (those in hindu or buddhist areas or those in atheist countries?) |
Bible Answer: Hello bpeteren5, Welcome to the Forum! In answer to your question, no! The Gospel excludes those who are "unbelievers". John 3:36 says, "He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him." (NASB) Paul's whole argument (the doctrine of condemnation)reagrding the fate of non-believers is found in Rom. 1:18-3:24. The whole world stands guilty before a just and holy God! Note particularly, verses 1:20 and 3:19- Rom 1:20- "For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse." Rom 3:19- "Now we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those who are under the Law, so that every mouth may be closed and all the world may become accountable to God;" As this question has been asked several times, you may also find further insight by using the "Search" function box to the upper right.
