Bible Note: This verse is RICH with the gospel. You could preach the entire gospel with this verse. .A bondservent ...Explain master/slave relationship ...... A slave's highest will is his master's will ......"Your wish is my command." ...Bought with something of value ......The blood of Jesus Christ (Hit Gospel Points) ...Why does he say it this way? ......Paul was a pharisee ......but he obviously saw being a slave to Christ more important. .Called to be an apostle ...different from slave ......Paul sees this as different from beign a slave of Christ. ......We are all to be slaves to Christ ...define:apostle ......A special messanger ...what it means to be an apostle ......You had to pick handpicked by Jesus ......You had to have witnessed Jesus's resurrection. .Set apart to preach the gospel of God. ... When was he set apart? Gal 1:15 ...... 1 tim 1:15 God works in even our darkest moments, He has a purpose for you. No matter what you've done, you can come to God, Paul says to with these three verses (gal 1:15; 1 tim 1:15; rm 1:1) that he had always been set apart form the gospel. SO what was happening during this time when Paul was killing Christians? Was God wringing His hands saying "oh no! What's happened to my Paul who i set apart to preach the gospel of my Son!"? no. God had his divine purpose, allowing Paul to run, loosing his leash to later bring him to Him to show us that no matter what we've done, we can come to Christ. God is sovreign Accept Jesus Christ If you have; have you become His slave? Is He LORD of you're life? Next time you call Him LORD. Think of what you're saying, what you really mean, and act accordingly. |
