AMPLIFIED 2015	Acts 9:2 and he asked for letters [of authority] from him to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any men or women there belonging to the Way [believers, followers of Jesus the Messiah], men and women alike, he could arrest them and bring them bound [with chains] to Jerusalem.

Bible Question: I was wondering if anyone had any input on the meaning of the first Jewish believers in Jesus being called "the Way?"

I have had my opinion in the past and I have just heard a new one that sounds even better, but I'd like confirmation.

I thought I would through this out here and see if any one confirms my thinking.

Bible Answer: Morning MJH,

I've heard that the sages believe that the way back to the Garden, to the Tree of Life is through a death. Yeshua became that Way, to take us past the "cherubim" amd the two-edged sword guarding the way to the Tree.
