Bible Question: Did Judas have a choice or not in betraying Jesus? |
Bible Answer: Dear TooToo, Acts 4:27,28 "For truly in this city there were gathered together against Your holy servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose predestined to occur. Gen 50:20 "As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive..." Judas did what he did out of the desire of his own wicked heart. Nevertheless, his actions were a part of God's eternal plan for His creation. It is by God's mercy, that those who are called by God, have escaped from the same fate as Judas. Judas will experience God's justice; the "elect", His mercy. John Reformed |
