Bible Question:
Dasev, first, I would prefer that you use my name rather than an endearment (or what appears to be an endearment). Thanks much. Second, thank you for your response, does anyone else have any thoughts on this passage? In Christ, Estelle |
Bible Answer: Greetings Roviear! Like Dasev, I think that the verse probably refers in general to God's delieverance of Paul from all of the attacks which would be made upon from that time forward. However, we also know of several instances where Paul was specifically delievered. For instance: 1) Acts 9:23-25. 2) Acts 9:29. 3) Acts 21:31. 4) Acts 23:15. 5) Acts 23:27. 6) Acts 25:5. These are just a few instances named in Acts. In fact, Acts 23:27 uses the same word for 'rescue' as is found in Acts 26:17. I hope this helps! Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
