Bible Question: What it is for a christian to be steadfast. According to Ephesians 6:10-18, how can a christian be steadfast |
Bible Answer: Hello Bukola, First of all you must understand what steadfast means. It means to be unmoveable, continuing in the same way, not to be swayed by what men say but to only go to what the bible says for your answers. As an example the converted Christians on the Day of Pentacost, Acts 2 42And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. The scriptures that you referenced uses imagery of how we as Christians are tempted everyday. This verse 14 "Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth", gives Christians the answer as to how to overcome the wicked one And before Eph 6:10-18 the scriptures again remind us to remain steadfast. Ephesians 4 14that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head--Christ-- Raven |
