Subject: Speaking in Tongue |
Bible Note: Your right the bible does not specifically call it a priviate prayer language, however it is the name we have given it for those who have understood what we have recieved. Here are some scriptures to help you with the Idea that it is a prayer language. "For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God : no man understandeth him... 1 Corn 14:2 These are not ministry gifts Paul is talking about but the individual Spiritfilled believer employing the use of tongue in his prayer life. This scripture also so continues to say, howbeit int the spirit he speaketh mysteries. Moffatt's translation says he is talking divine secrets in the spirit. We also speak in tongues or our prayer language to build our selfs up in the not in our body or mind ( which is our soul) but our spirit or spiritman "He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself... 1 Corn 14:4. There are some scripture to back up a prayer language...for myself it is powerful and real. It is not to demean or take anything away from anyone else. But the power of God is real and working in the life I lead and the Holy Spirit is present and teaching all things for he is in us, with us and for us. Be blessed and I hope you find his power in your life. |
