Subject: Follow scripture or man |
Bible Note: Acts 17:29 (NKJV) 29 Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man's devising. Too many want to shape God to their own liking, if we then reject their teaching we are called fools, unlearned, un-trainable. Scripture contains the truth of God, it gives us any revelation we have of God. When we go beyond scripture and assign to God any trait or characteristic that isn’t specifically spelled out in scripture we have shape God in man’s wisdom. Something we are told not to do. |
