Subject: are these words from the bible? |
Bible Note: greetings tshr4441, in the name of our LORD JESUS CHRIST... the interesting background of this verse is Paul is in Athens and saw an altar that said "to the unknown god" (vs 23). Paul had been there for awhile and they wanted to hear what Paul had to say. He starts out by saying GOD created everything and vs 25 says He (GOD) gives to all life, breath and all things. (vs26 is one of the best verses for refuting racism)then explains GOD is not far from us(27),live move, and have our being(28) HIS offspring(29), says times our ingoranceGOD overlook BUT NOW COMMANDS THAT MEN REPENT(30) then judgement(31) a lot of doctrine in just a short amount of scripture, or the gospel in a nutshell. hope this helps, and as you sing that chorus try to remember what prompted Paul to say it peace through JESUS CHUCK |
