Bible Note: Jeff Your right I should not have said you agreed to anything and I apologize, I'm sorry. However when you tell someone they are the righteous of God and person that is defending someone that did say Jesus was WORM I get confused and sometimes assume the worst. I'm sorry for putting words in your mouth it was inexcusable of me. Your also right I should not get as upset as I do, and I do need to pray more. However Graceful has more than once answered a young Christian with some really bad and destructive theology. You tell me, do I sit on my hands and let that person be deceived or do I say something? Christians have sat around for years and have not said anything because they didn't want to appear contentious. I think we can now thank that policy for abortion rights, homosexuality in our schools, prayer being kicked out nearly everything, same sex marriages, people trying to take any thing that mentions God out of our government documents, songs and pledges of allegiance. No I think it is time for Christians to stand up everywhere and call false teaching false teaching. Jeff one of the things I run into in ministry are people that have had everything they believed in torn from them, the reason in many cases is they had bought into the WOF formula. They had mustered all the faith their were capable of and still for whatever reason the thing they were standing against seemed to prevail. Then when they went to their WOF pastor they were told they had either spoke this tragedy into existence or didn't have enough faith to prevent it. To me, telling someone, 'that it was their fault,' after they have just had to bury a child is far worst than telling Graceful her doctrine stinks. But I will try to temper my comments in the future. As far as what would Jesus do when if someone called Him a worm, I think he used terms like blind leaders, whitewashed graves and hypocrites. Let us not lose sight of the real issue here. The Jesus that Graceful holds to is not the Jesus of Orthodox Christianity, the salvation graceful talks about is not the salvation of orthodox Christianity, the god of graceful is not the God of orthodox Christianity. Graceful's Jesus was dragged to hell and tortured there, only Graceful's Jesus could be defined as a WORM. Graceful's salvation did not occur on the cross but was secured by the torture of Graceful's Jesus in Hell, in fact Satan played a part in it by punishing Jesus. Graceful's god lost control of the earth with the fall in garden, almost but not quite was able to sneak back on earth through Abraham and was finally able to sneak Jesus past Satan to win back the world. Graceful's god responses to their beck and call provided Graceful has enough faith and Graceful's god can only do what graceful has defined him as able to do by their understanding of the Bible. No you did not offend me and I hope I didn't offend you or anyone else for that matter. I'm only trying to explain to you what I see as a serious problem and I'm trying to keep others not as knowledgeable as you from getting hurt by bad theology that sounds okay at first blush. It is not my intention to win an argument but rather to expose really bad and destructive theology. If I offended you in any way let me ask your forgiveness and tell you I'm very sorry. Once again I apologize for putting words into your mouth and for making assumptions based only on a few brief word of what you said. EdB |
