Bible Question:
Does a person who wants to be a christian who has sinned tremendously just ask God for his forgiveness and then move on to be a christian or should that person be baptized and ask God for him to save ones life? |
Bible Answer: It is depend upon the situation, If we remember the one on the cross that asked forgiveness and received the promises of Christ. At the time there is no time for baptism but Christ forgive his sins. Fogiveness really is between you and God, if God forgive you in repentance alone then that's like what happen in the cross. But if are really forgiven and recieved forgiveness you should follow the teaching of Christ. There are people repent and die afterwards and have not time for baptism, God can justify that whether they are save or not. But for us that has the time to follow the teaching of Christ we should follow His teaching: Mt 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: God bless, Johnny |
