Subject: Abstaining from things strangled, blood? |
Bible Note: WOS, It took me so long to get my post written you already had posted again. I'm very slow, I only know "by heart" a few verses, so it takes me awhile to find what I know is there. I think you have it right about the actual distinction between clean and unclean foods - but the strangled and the blood fall into a different category. From what I understand the edict against things strangled is that the life breath was cut off, it wasn't a clean slaughter; and the blood as we all know represents the life and we should not ingest the life's blood of a living thing. I'm very new to all this so if I am wrong, I really would appreciate correction and will give you my apology now, WOS. Cheri |
