Bible Question: there is a verse in the bible that says, they that call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved and their household. Do you think this verse means if we call upon the name of the Lord and are saved that those we love will be saved as well....

That is a good question. One of the things that you have to watch for is when Scripture is speaking to a specific instance in a narrative and when Scripture is teaching a principle (didactic). If you think about it, we would be unwise to build our doctrine on the former passages.
