Bible Note: tduplechain: "...I have to question some of the thing outside of what he teach." By "what he teach" the context is clear that you mean "what Jesus teaches," right? You wrote early on in your post that the way to God is not through Peter. So what are you saying? Are you saying that the epistles of Peter are not inspired like the Gospels are, or that they are of lesser importance or even of little or no importance? What about Paul's letter to the Romans, for example. How would you say it compares to Mark's gospel in importance? ..... I submit to you, my friend, that we are not given the authority to classify God's word, to pick out what we think is important, to relegate the rest to second-rank or ignore it altogether. The Bible says, "ALL Scripture is God-breathed and profitable..." (See 2 Timothy 3:16). The 27 books of the New Testament, all of them, constitute the New Covenant, the Good News of Jesus Christ, the doctrines of grace which form the very foundation of faith and practice for the Church, the bride of Christ. You cannot isolate the teachings of the inspired writers of the Bible from the teachings of Jesus Himself, or vice versa. From Genesis to Revelation, the entire Bible is the inspired and inerrant word of God. I repeat, "ALL Scripture is inspired and profitable..." --Hank |
