Bible Question: Thank you for your response. But, where did Jesus say to accept the Gentiles. Where is it written in His words. John 3:16 is from John not Jesus. According to John, not Jesus. Paul and some of the other Apostles came up with this acceptance. Jesus never said it. He referred to the Gentiles as dogs and that He came for His people, Israel. Acts 10:36, Matt 1:21. Jesus said not to go to the Gentiles Matt 10:5. Paul said himself that he was a liar, why believe him. Rom. 7:14. Where did Jesus say it? |
Bible Answer: Greetings Truthisthelight! You have set yourself up in a very difficult position. If you only accept as 'truth' those words which are direct quotes from Jesus, how can you accept anything since even the quotes from Jesus are recorded by someone else. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John record the words of Jesus for us. Will you accept their account of what Jesus said, but reject everything else that they say? :-) But, what did Jesus say? As Mark108 already noted, Jesus said in Mt. 10:5 to not go to the 'ethnos', but in Mt. 28:19 He says to go and make disciple of all 'ethnos'. Further, ALL Scripture is inspired by God, not just the words of Jesus. And, ALL of Scripture is clear concerning the Gentiles. Eph. 3:6 - "This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus."
