Subject: Are you being put to the test? |
Bible Note: Hi Searcher 56, If I were a teacher and this had been a test, I would give you a high grade. Especially as I am a person interested in capitalization. :) This certainly is the application that can be made for our lives; that is, to put our trust in God in all circumstances rather than in the "mighty dollar". However, I was thinking of what can be learned about God in the fact that Philip was tested. For instance, I came up with this question as I compared the "He Himself" passages of John 6:6 and John 2:24,25. Why would this Man who was doing things [signs] in the name and authority of God, who knew all men; why would he test this disciple, Philip? The margin references in my Study Bible for John 6:6 are 2 Corinthians 13:5 and Revelation 2:2. Any comments on them as far as testing is concerned? From the heart, Ray |
