AMPLIFIED 2015 | John 5:31 ¶ "If I alone testify about Myself, My testimony is not valid. |
Bible Question: In John chapter 5, what is your explanation of these verses. |
Bible Answer: What Jesus is saying here is that the witness of Himself, that is to say the witness of only one man, is not good enough, but that is not in fact the case with Him, as the verses bellow clearly show. Jhn 5:31 "If I bear witness of Myself, My witness is not true. Jhn 5:32 "There is another who bears witness of Me, and I know that the witness which He witnesses of Me is true. Jhn 8:16 "And yet if I do judge, My judgment is true; for I am not alone, but I am with the Father who sent Me. Jhn 8:17 "It is also written in your law that the testimony of two men is true. Jhn 8:18 "I am One who bears witness of Myself, and the Father who sent Me bears witness of Me." |
