Bible Note: Beja Yes we have a fundamental difference in our theology. I see Jesus dying for the sins of the world and judgment for the unsaved at the Great White Throne of Judgment where those whose name is not written in the Lamb’s Book of Life are cast into the Lake of Fire. Rev 20:11-14. Since we all have sinned and have fallen short and one sin is equal to another I see us all condemned, the difference is those of us that have believed in Jesus Christ. John 3:16 I see the passage you pointed to in 2 Cor 5:10 as speaking only to those that are in Christ where we will stand before our Savior and have our works judged not for damnation but as the refining process where the wood, hay and stubble is burned from our lives leaving nothing but pure refined gold. Now going to Romans 1:18-32 nature truly defines and testifies of God that is certain but it does not testify of Jesus Christ who must be believed in, John 3:16. Some one could be a good Jew and worship God with all his heart, live as righteous as humanly possible and even realize his salvation is not in himself but instead must be realized in a Messiah. He could do all of that and have never heard of Jesus Christ the Son of God. While his outcome may be the same as those listed in Roman 1:18-32 I don’t think he fits in the same category. In fact as best I can tell scripture does not address how those people will be dealt with. Again I’m not talking of a the average sinner that has been exposed to knowledge of Jesus Christ or of the person that denies even the existence of God. I’m talking of the person that truly loves God but for whatever reason has never heard of Jesus Christ. |
