Bible Question: How does one reconcile the Biblical teaching of predestination/election with the referebce that it is God's will that none should perish and that all would come to repentence? |
Bible Answer: Since we know for a fact that the Bible does not contradict itself then the problem in the reconciliation of these terms must be in the explanations we assign to them. In other words man's explanation of predestination/election in relation to salvation must slightly flawed and not as cut and dry as we try to make it. Also we must consider what Kalos posted in the quote from the Netbible in post #138831. To me how this all works is a great mystery but one that does not trouble me as all since I know God is control and I trust fully and completely in Him. However I do find man's explanations of how this all works rather amusing since they build such conflicts. EdB |
