Bible Question: In John 3:16 what exactly is the meaning of His 'only' begotten (unique) Son? Is Jesus Christ a spirit or a special angel of God that could not be duplicated, or was Jesus the ONLY person that has and will ever be given the full authority of GOD to do His purpose to redeem His creation? And as far as the 'only' part, If the Lord created more "Sons' " would that defeat the sovereignty of His redemption plans? Could someone give me an insight to this delema? What does 'Son' really mean? |
Bible Answer: In John 3:16 in greek only begotten is "monogenes" which means that as the Son of God He was the sole representative of the Being and character of the One who sent Him. Jesus possesses every attribute of the pure Godhead. Jesus created all things from the begining. Please read Colossians 1:15 to 23. This explains this in very detailed manner. agape. justme |
