Bible Question: why do we have to wor ship god |
Bible Answer: Kkamofa Hi and welcome to the forum. I guess the easy answer would be because God made us and He wants us to worship Him. However, there is more to it than that. We are complex beings and somewhere built within us is a desire to worship. This desire will be satisfied somehow in our lives, and we will end up worshipping something. It may be we will worship our children (only until they become teenagers :-) ), money and possessions, power and position, football or basketball teams, invented gods and idols or possibly intellect or wisdom. In any case we are made to worship we have it in us and we will worship something. I believe God implanted this desire, then he gave us reason to love and worship Him. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. EdB |
