Bible Question: What is Christianity? |
Bible Answer: My answer........................................... Hi Chummypupcy, You have asked a very big question to which one could answer in a variety of ways. One way to define Christianity is to look at what beliefs are consistently upheld. I would recommend that you type in the number 114284 into the "Quick Search" box at the top right corner of the screen. This will take you to a post by Emmaus, who included the 2 most famous creeds (Apostle's and Nicean) and some scripture to back them up. Another way is to define some of the most important concepts in Christianity. I would recommend that you type in the number 18160 into the "Quick Search" box at the top right corner of the screen. This will take you to the first of 2 posts that I once wrote to do this very thing. A third way to explain what Chirstianity is would be to talk about it in terms of the relationship that we have with God. I think that this is the most complete understanding of what it is, however, it is also the hardest to explain in an objective manner. I would say that being a Christian means that you have a relationship with Jesus Christ where He is your savior. I would also say that you have a relationship with God where He is your Lord and friend. |
