Subject: Are we ever "worthy" of God's love? |
Bible Note: This question originates out of a sermon I heard a while back that I really had a problem with. I asked a related question under Matthew 22:39. I had a link on that one to an on-line audio of the message. I was asking for some outside ears to listen and tell me what they heard. When I raised concerns about the message I was told I had a "muddled" understanding and that I had misunderstood what was being taught. I don't think I did. My question "Are we ever worthy of God's love?" came from one of the statements made in the sermon. So far one person has listened to it. I'm sure you have better things to do than listen to online sermons and give feedback, but if you could, I would GREATLY appreciate some feedback. It's caused my wife and I some real stress in confronting what we saw as plain and simple untruth. It hasn't been too comfortable on Sunday mornings since we spoke up. So if I'm wrong I'd like someone to show me from scripture. If you listen to the message and then wonder what I objected to, I could send you a copy of what I found objectionable. Here's the link to the message if you have some time. http://www.telusplanet.net/public/deep/matthew22.htm Thanks Ken |
