AMPLIFIED 2015 | John 20:17 Jesus said to her, "Do not hold Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to My brothers and tell them, 'I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.'" |
Subject: Jesus went to God immediately? |
Bible Note: If Jesus is [our] FirstFruit, and Paul's statement "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord," and NO MAN had ever been "present with the Lord" due to the curtain separating the Holy of Holies from unatoned man, it is reasonable to conclude that Jesus did indeed go to be with Father upon His death. Jesus' body was placed in the tomb, His human spirit and soul went to the Father upon His death. |
