Bible Question: When Jesus was talking to the lady at the well, what did it mean i thirst. And what other verses that ref. to it. |
Bible Answer: Another take on this verse for you to consider! Here Jesus hung, covered with the sins of mankind . . . I'm wondering if what Jesus was thirsty for was RIGHTEOUSNESS? "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied." Mt 5:6 Notice that what man offered was anything but satisfying! We see that the sponge soaked in vinegar was lifted to Jesus on a hyssop stalk.(John 19:29) Hyssop was symbolic of cleansing. Nothing man could do would ever accomplish the cleansing found in the blood of Jesus Christ! Blessings Mommapbs |
