NASB | John 16:11 and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | John 16:11 about judgment [the certainty of it], because the ruler of this world (Satan) has been judged and condemned. |
Bible Question: Is it possible that satan could repent before God gives His final judgement? Humans can be saved at any time before death and judgement if they are truly repentent. Can fallen angels? |
Bible Answer: Even if he does repent, he is still subject to the judgment of God, which will be carried out as written. Angles are fully aware of God's laws. An angel choosing to break God’s law would be subject to God’s judgment regardless of apologizing later. Just as a person who commits a crime is subject to the sentence handed down by a judge in a court of law even if they apologize. Apologizing to the judge and the people wronged does not get a person off the hook; they must still pay for their crime. |
