Bible Question: Why do Christians choose Jesus? |
Bible Answer: Hello tvg, There are a host of scriptures to support and answer the "why". John 1:1-4 would provide the foundation: John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:2 He was in the beginning with God. John 1:3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. John 1:4 In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. Christ is, "the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!" ! In short, John 3:16 would provide an answer: "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life." (NASB) There is no redemption through or by any other means! John 14:6 explicitly states, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me."
