Subject: What makes Christianity different |
Bible Note: You wrote: "My point really in asking those verse to new creature is that it is not in our part to judge other religion. It is God has the final judgement." And He has already rendered that judgment. "There are people we can consider is a victim of thier own culture, meaning they have no resort of finding a true religion but to accepted what they have in thier country." Then they go to hell. Romans 1:18 ff. "Some of them if they try to go to other religion (Christianity) they punished to death." Jesus answered this one, too: "Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." --Matthew 10:28 "He who loves his life loses it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it to life eternal." --John 12:25 God never promised that embracing Christ would be safe. All of the apostles found out that it wasn't, as do many martyrs in our own day around the world. Jesus calls us all to die, Johnny: " Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me." --Matthew 16:24 You quoted Romans 2:14-15, but you missed Paul's point: "For there is no partiality with God. For all who have sinned without the Law will also perish without the Law, and all who have sinned under the Law will be judged by the Law; for it is not the hearers of the Law who are just before God, but the doers of the Law will be justified." --Romans 2:11-13 All have sinned, so where is the hope for the Gentile or the Jew here apart from Christ. Gentiles will perish without the law, and Jews will be judged by the law. The conscience of the Gentiles, the moral sense given to them by God, condemns them as violators of God's moral will. No hope without Christ. Absolutely none. All stand guilty, the church attender and the ignorant savage who never has even heard the name Jesus. Period. Romans 3:23-24. Acts 4:12. To say that there is the thinnest shred of hope outside of Christ makes evangelism and missions absolutely unnecessary, and denies the entire doctrine of justification by faith. God will reach those he will save with the message of Christ. 'For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; for "WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED." How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, "HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!" However, they did not all heed the good news; for Isaiah says, "LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT?" So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.' --Romans 10:12-17 --Joe! |
