Bible Question: What makes Christianity different from other religions? Don't they all lead to God? |
Bible Answer: I knew God ... being raised Catholic... but I never knew Him in a way of a relationship... like a best friend. When I asked Jesus to forgive me of my sins and trusted Him in that by discontinuing to go to the confessional... a divine event took place in my life. The date of my new birth was March 23 1976. Christ became a personal friend, redeemer and Lord. His Word became my constant companion. I knew about Him before my conversion... but I know Him and know that He knows me now. I went from a religion to a relationship... most people have some sort of religion but that does not gain us our entrance into Heaven I could not truely know God the Father without knowing Christ His son for He is the only avenue to knowing the Father. John 14:7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. 2 Cor. 10:18 For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth. Now I know He knows me ... we speak daily! Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Knowing about God is not what it is about... but knowing Him and that can only be acchieved thru Christ alone... Mat 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. We can not know God the Father if we do not know His son 1 John 2:23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. |
