Bible Question:
In John 14:6b, Jesus says "No one comes to the Father except through me." Many reject Christ, or have real trouble accepting Him because of His unique, exclusive claim. When witnessing to unbelievers, how do you explain to them why you accept His claim? And, in practical terms, what difference does it make to your walk with him? I'm not looking so much for bible verses that support the truth of His statement, but rather how you explain to unbelievers why this makes sense, knowing that they do not yet recognize the authority of scripture. |
Bible Answer: Hello Parable, Think about it my brother, did you come to your salvation through a bunch of verses? Or let me ask, how did you come to the Father? I was sitting in a jail cell when someone was telling me about the Love of God. No bible, no sermon, he was relating to me how God Loved me and that He was not mad at me, and the only way to come to Him was through His Son! It was that "Love" that I wanted, I said the sinner's prayer, and the rest is history. We are ALL looking for an answer for our life. (It's Jesus). I have come to believe (by experience) that people will approach you, because we are what is written in 2 Corinthians 3:2. You demonstrate God's Love in your walk. And that is powerful. So if we are in a market, on the job, on a campus or wherever we are ready to give an answer. "But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect" 1 Peter 3:15 NIV. As for me "walk the walk, and talk the talk". That's all I have. God bless You! |
