Bible Question: Her husband left her with 5 children, she earned hard money to support children's schooling and other needs. While her husband for ten years have been enjoying life with another woman. She wants to remarry because a single man (a long known Churchmate) showed love and interest in her and her children. But for fear that she is going to commit sin against God, she choose to suffer her burden and pain. Should she go to her grave grieving and unhappy because as she was told: the Bible says that she should remain single, and if she remarried she will commit adultery? Should not this man be considered God-given gift to her? |
Bible Answer: Marriage involves three parties: the bride, the groom, and God. When two Christians receive the contract of marriage, God is with them, witnessing and blessing their marriage binding. A marriage is permanent; only death can break it (Mark 10:1–12, Rom. 7:2–3, 1 Cor. 7:10–11). This holy union is a living symbol of the unbreakable relationship between Christ and his Church (Eph. 5:21–33). I heard that some churches allows annullment I don't know if this is true. |
