Bible Note: You write: "No question should be ever called inane or enept." What about foolish or ignorant? Is the Bible wrong when it says some questions are "foolish and unlearned (ignorant)"? AMPLIFIED 2 Timothy 2:23 But refuse (shut your mind against, have nothing to do with) trifling (ill-informed, unedifying, stupid) controversies over ignorant questionings, for you know that they foster strife and breed quarrels. KJV 2Ti 2:23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes. KJV 1Ti 1:4 Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do. KJV 1Ti 6:4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, KJV Tit 3:9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. |
