Subject: Mary's annoint precede Lazarus ressurec? |
Bible Note: Jesus' reply is the same in Matthew and Mark but in Luke it is different. But just because two autors give account of the same event differently does not neccesarly mean that they were infact two events or just because two authors give the same account of a story doesn't mean that there were other details that happened at the same time that the author left out. John 21:25 says that Jesus did many things that were not written down. I agree with searcher56 they may be two seperate events or she could have annointed Jesus more than once or it is an example of 2 different ways to tell the same event. John 11:2 could be used to prove that Lazarus ressurrection happened after the annointing but it could also be a verse to give the reader more detail. I don't think that it is as important the order of these two events as it is that Mary who is brother is Lazarus is the one who annointed Jesus' feet. |
