AMPLIFIED 2015 | John 1:14 ¶ And the Word (Christ) became flesh, and lived among us; and we [actually] saw His glory, glory as belongs to the [One and] only begotten Son of the Father, [the Son who is truly unique, the only One of His kind, who is] full of grace and truth (absolutely free of deception). Subject: "We saw His glory?" |
Bible Note: Hi Emmaus, Thank you for the "glory trail" in John. I think that one of the best pairing of verses and passages for the thought that you had expressed would be these: John 10:32, "Jesus answered them, "I showed you many good works from the (Father); for which of them are you stoning Me?" 33 The Jews answered Him, "For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a **Man, make Yourself/ out to be God." John 17:24, "...be with Me where I am, in order that they may behold (My) glory, which Thou hast given Me; for Thou didst love Me before the foundation of the world. 25 "O righteous **Father, although the world has not known Thee/, yet I have known Thee; and these have known that (Thou) didst send Me;" These passages compare the mystery of how the righteous Father could come to earth in the likeness of men and become a Man. John 17:1, "Father, the hour has come; glorify Thy (Son), that the Son may glorify Thee,..." From the heart, Ray |
