Subject: Can I remarry and be forgiven by god |
Bible Note: Martha: Thank you for the kind words. This is a BIBLE STUDY FORUM not Dear Abby! 2 Timothy 2:23-25 "But refuse foolish and ignorant speculations, knowing that they produce quarrels. The Lord's bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition. if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth." NASB Updated. I would also suggest 1 Corinthians 5:11-6:20 I most certianly am accountable for how I live my live to more than the Lord. I am responsible, and accountable and subject to the judgement of my wife, church members, Pastor, Elders, and the laws of the land. I also add I abide by the suggestions of Hank, and others in the Forum, wiser in areas I may be weak in. Scripture NEVER will contradict it's self, and how any of us Christians behave or become immoral, is part of the Uinversal Church's judgement to call sin to my attention! Unfortunately as Christians we can not have the attitude that each of can be a "lone Ranger Christian" doing as each of us see's fit. Your advice was and is Scriputally unfounded, and completly unbiblical. I don't make that judgement, the Word of God is in opposition to your advice. We can not go giving advice on "feelings" but only on "Biblical standards". This Forum does not opperate on "Let everyone be themselves, and you, take care of your own self." This would become a free for all with every cult and belief of all kinds going off like a loose cannon! I hope you will become mature and teachable, and adopt a kinder, more respectful response to Hank and others who are tring to help you see what this Forum is about. We all do not agree with each other, on minor issues, that are not in direct opposition to the Word of God. I sincerely hope you will spend some time seeking the Lord's direction, rather than a knee jerk reaction to my note. I wish you blessings and peace. justme. |
