AMPLIFIED 2015 | Luke 7:44 Then turning toward the woman, He said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? Bible Question:
Luke 7:36-50 - Clarification needed As per my understanding, the Simon mentioned was a Pharisee not the apostle Simon Peter. Am I rignt? However, the sermon (concerning the captioned scriptures) given by a pastor on last Sunday service, he referred this Simon as Peter (Simon) the apostle which I am in doubt. Thanks for your help. Bible Answer: Greetings Azure, If there were any question about it I would think verses 36 and 44 should clear it up. Luke 7:36 (NASB) Now one of the Pharisees was requesting Him to dine with him, and He entered the Pharisee's house and reclined at the table. Luke 7:44 (NASB) Turning toward the woman, He said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I ENTERED YOUR HOUSE; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has wet My feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. (My emphases added) Steve |
