Bible Note: My opinion: John the Baptist was human. He had faith. He believed Christ was the Messiah. He did not absolutely "know" Christ was the Messiah. So, he struggled with his faith ... he questioned... just like all humans. That's one of the best things about the Bible: it doesn't sweep people's questioning or doubts under the carpet. There may be a reason for that. |
