Bible Note: Hi Yen, Well quite simply, Mat 15:14, Luk 6:39 are both speaking of the Pharisees and Scribes. Their self-righteousness missed the mark and they did not see Christ for who he was though they saw with their eyes all the miracles he performed, and saw no need for their own repentence and to follow Him. So it was also for those who followed them (Isa 42:18-20) Mat 7:17, Luk 6:43 both speak of charrector. We should be able to see clearly whether a person is following Christ by their outward expression of faith and whether they are living a life led be the Spitit of God by their actions. -"But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law. Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit." Gal 5:18-25 John |
