Subject: why did judas betray jesus |
Bible Note: Side Note: There is also meaning behind the 30 shekels of silver that Judas was given to betray Jesus. 30 silver shekels was the price of a slave in that time. Showing the contempt the chief priests had for him, and highlighting how little they valued him. Another point for reflection...Judas was one of the 12 people (apostles) most close to Jesus, basking in his wisdom, kindness, and love. He was once highly favored by Jesus. This helps us to realize that we are not "once saved, always saved". Rather it takes hard work and continuous effort to remain in God's favor. |
