Subject: Mary is Sinless? |
Bible Note: I am not throwing stones at the Catholic Church. However, Mary was a sinner like you and I. When the angel gave her this meassage "Hail thou art highly favored, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women." Luke 1:28 Mary not because of any merit of her own experienced the grace of God in that she was the chosen vessel to bring his only Son into the world. She could say "my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior" The genealogy of Mary is traced back to Adam in Luke 3:23-38 and is the fulfilment of Gen. 3:15 in which we find that through the seed of the women the deliverer shall come. It is amazing that God by his grace has used ordinary humans to bring about his plans and purposes. In the case of Mary she was the vessel upon whom the Holy Spirit came and she had the blessing of being the one throught whom the Son of God, God manifest in the flesh should come. The important thing to remember is that there is one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus.(1 Tim. 2:5) It is Christ who is the saviour of sinners, it is he who links the sinner to God by faith in his sacrifice alone. Mary like all who love Christ was redeemed by his precious blood. |
