AMPLIFIED 2015 | Luke 16:8 "And his master commended the unjust manager [not for his misdeeds, but] because he had acted shrewdly [by preparing for his future unemployment]; for the sons of this age [the non-believers] are shrewder in relation to their own kind [that is, to the ways of the secular world] than are the sons of light [the believers]. |
Bible Question: Can you help understand the Unrighteous steward of Luke 16? Why was he praised? didn't he steal from his master? |
Bible Answer: According to the International Bible Commentary faced by ruin the steward took energetic action to ward it off; it is his foresight and resourcefulness to ward off disaster which are commended not his dishonesty. |
