Bible Question: Hi, doesn't God tell us that if he can trust us with the very small things in life, he can trust us with the bigger things in life? (and of course if it's right through God's eyes) |
Bible Answer: Hi Nightjay, In so many words, yes! Luke 16:10 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. 11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?12 And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own? Jesus, in the parable of the talents, tells us that He first tests us with small things, before giving us larger things: Mat 25:21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. It's not so much that He trusts us, because He knows us. He knows what we will do before we know what we will do. But He does start us small, working us up to larger, as He matures us. I hope this helps! Love in Christ, Mark |
