AMPLIFIED 2015 | Luke 14:26 "If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life [in the sense of indifference to or relative disregard for them in comparison with his attitude toward God]--he cannot be My disciple. |

Bible Note: Dear Aixen, the NASB puts Mark 9-20 in brackets and both it and the NIV note that "the earliest manuscripts and some other ancient witnesses do not have Mark 16:9-20". I usually use the NKJV or the KJ and did not notice this before. I am also not so sure that the context limits these verses just to the 12 Apostles and their converts. Just so that all of you understand me, however, I do believe and have faith in the Bible as the Word of God. But mainly we must have faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord. Thanks for your answers. God Bless. Jim |
