AMPLIFIED 2015 | Luke 14:26 "If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life [in the sense of indifference to or relative disregard for them in comparison with his attitude toward God]--he cannot be My disciple. |
Subject: Explain the relationship between things |
Bible Note: Aixen7z4 It really isn't that tough of a verse if the word "Hate" is defined as "to love less". therefore Jesus is saying that you must love me more than any in your family. Easy to say but a stark reality when confronted with the choice. However, if we will love God more than anything on this world it will prove a benefit. That is how I would explain it to a new believer. Asis |
